MOPDTK will be performing at the afa gallery in scranton, pa, on sunday, aug. 26. we will be participating in the "drawing socials" series which starts at 6 pm. the gallery is at 524 lackawanna ave. in scranton, and we'll be playing 2 sets with a recommended donation of $5.

Starship's Journey @ GBBM

MOPDTK's alter-ego, "Starship's Journey: A Tribute to the Music of the 80's" is performing at Goodbye Blue Monday in Bushwick, Brooklyn. We're on following 2 earlier bands and Charle Evans' Language Of. (we'll probably play at 11 or so, but come early to hear the language of- moppa and peter) GBBM is off the Koskiusco stop on the JMZ line on broadway.

MOPDTK will be at Cake Shop (152 Ludlow in the lower east side) on wednesday, aug. 15. we're sharing the bill with capillary action, chubby behemoth, and zdrastvootie. we start at 8:30, and it'll cost you $8 for the whole night. see you there!!!

on sunday, aug 5, MODTK will be playing at the cornelia st cafe, and celebrating the release of their second album, "Shamokin!!!" we'll be playing 2 sets (8:30 and 10), the cover is $5, and copies of both albums will be available for purchase.

MOPDTK will be playing at pianos jazz bar in brooklyn on tuesday, june 12. the show starts at 9 pm, costs $5, and puppets is located on 5th ave. near 1st. street in park slope, brooklyn. mike pride will be playing drums.
on wednesday, june 13, we'll be at the stone. 8 PM, $10, located at the corner of ave. c and 2nd st. in the east village. andrew bain will be playing drums.

on may 23, MOPDTK will play cake shop with rickshaw mama and skeletons. we'll also be featuring some guests with mopdtk: mike pride on drums, charle evans on sax and brian woestehoff on sax. we play at 8:30, it costs $5-10, and cake shop is at 152 ludlow. see you there!!!!

on saturday, march 17, i'll be presenting the first performance by the I.C.U.P. orchestra at the bowery poetry club at 8 pm. we'll be opening for the quartet of happiness...in town for their cd release party. see you there!!!!

on sunday, MOPDTK will perform at the Stone. we're playing one set at 10, following a set by jessica pavone. the show is $10.
on wednesday, feb. 7, i'll be performing with "Mostly Other People Play Smooth Jazz" a new incarnation of MOPDTK with andrew bain on drums and brandon seabrook on guitar. we're playing one set at goodbye blue monday's on broadway in bushwick. the club is a few blocks east of the kosciuszko st. stop on the j. (north side of the street). also on the bill are the derividactory (charle evans and christian pincock duo), and moxy (peter evans and sam kulik duo). it all starts at 8, so come check out a night of crazy music!!!

MOPDTK meets Puttin' on the Ritz

mostly other people do the killing will be playing on monday, september 25 at the syrup room (bushwick off of morgan ave) with bj rubin on vocals. bj is half of the duo "puttin' on the Ritz" which also includes MOPDTK's own kevin shea on drums. we'll be doing standards with the full quintet starting at 11:30 or so (preceeded by Talibam! and others)

on sunday, sept. 17, i'll be playing at the rose on grand street in williamsburg with the merle haggard band. the group is mostly big five chord members with greg ritchie on drums. we play one set at 9:30, there may be a $5 cover, and the club is near havermeyer st. see you there!!!

Galapagos!

on thursday, aug 31st MOPDTK will be performing at galapagos on n. 6 street in williamsburg, brooklyn. we're the 3rd group in a night of jazz that includes the andy neff group and confluence (featuring andrew bain and jon irabagon). one low cover gets you in for the whole evening. the show starts at 8. see you there!!!!

I'll be all over the place in august!!!
first, i'll be playing the scranton jazz festival with the language of quartet led by the evans "brothers" peter and charle and featuring eli hludzik on drums. we'll be the first of an entire day of bands. admission is $10 for the whole day for students and we start at 2PM in nay aug park. check out http://www.pajazzalliance.com/scrantonjazzfestival.htm for more info.
